Personality Disorders

Personality disorders involve persistent patterns of thoughts, emotions, interpersonal behaviour, and functioning that can cause significant distress or impairment. This area explores contemporary approaches to assessment, diagnosis, formulation, and treatment. Complex clinical presentations may involve emotional deregulation, interpersonal difficulties, impulsivity, or chronic distress. Psychotherapeutic approaches are central to management and may require long-term individualized treatment. Research continues to examine dimensional approaches to personality pathology.
